Abundant natural plants-shrubs and trees.

From old Orange Osage trees, to elms, hickory and even Poison Ivy, we have it all. (Ok, we try to eliminate the poison ivy...)

Long walks are readily enjoyed in the lush forest that we call Cave Springs.

Cave Spring is a 39-acre urban nature center and historic area. The area includes an interpretive center building, picnic area, and scenic walking trails. The easily traveled hiking trails combined with the natural features of a cave and wildlife habitat pond allow many opportunities to pursue ecological studies.

ON GOING PROGRAMS AT CAVE SPRING

Cave Springs Ecosystem supports a wide variety of Flora and Fauna.   Come out during any season and enjoy its natural bounty.

Our Vision

It is the mission of Cave Spring Historic Site and Nature Center to preserve and interpret the historical significance of the site, its place in the local area, and the natural resources that contribute to the site's significance.
